About Budd Greenman
Budd picked up the violin at eight and never put it down, performing with the Ferris State Chamber Orchestra before studying under Cape Breton masters like Buddy MacMaster and Brenda Stubbert.
His journey has carried him through classical, Irish, and Michigan’s own fiddle traditions, fueling decades of work with bands from Freshwater to The Johns and High Strung Steel. Festivals like Wheatland, radio features, and music video projects have all showcased his playing—rooted in tradition yet alive with improvisation.
